Series1 V12 production numbers.
Today, I was asked to view a Daimler Series1 V12 VDP. It had done 95000 miles and had been laid up for years. The oil and transmission fluid looked good, but there did not appear to be any water in the cooling system. The engine would turn over so was not seized. I wonder how many of these cars were made? Clearly rarity will have an effect on the value of the vehicle and hence the chances of a restoration. Any ideas?
I had a Daimler Series 1 VdP finished in Aegean Blue. A beautiful and rare car which was sadly written off when rear ended in 1974. You can therefore reduce the above total by at least one!

English car artist Mike Harbar did a personalised print for me which is the only record I have of the car.

FWIW rather than trying to anticipate how the rarity might influence value, I would do some searching for sales of similar models...if you can find any.....to get an idea of actual real-world market value.
Here in the 'States, at least, I don't think I've seen any Series 1 sell for more than $6500 or so. If we very generously double that for a rare V12 and/or Daimler, we have $13,000.
A true restoration will cost much more than that, unfortunately.
Cheers

I have been reading the latest copy of Jaguar Enthusiast magazine. There are two Series 1 being offered for sale. One at £12995, the other at £20000. Both are road worthy. Makes me think of the potential
