I had 3 rejected by DMV:

BDASSJAG
BDASJAG
BAMFJAG

Must have some great search programs to filter out the special ones.

I finally gave up and went for RTIRD@40.

Next choice would have been NO$4KIDS.

My pop, upon my ordering of the car, asked where the baby seat goes. I just laughed as if it were only a joke.

A first glance, I thought it was short for "MICROWAVABLE"

Default Plate

Hey everyone, I want to share my plate because I think it's something special.
To the average person, it's a Dick plate to go with a Dick car, but I got it for another reason too. I grew up watching Top Gear and that show made me passionate about sports cars.
It's my own tribute to Jeremy Clarkson and Co. because without him, I never would have bought this car. Every time I look at this plate I can hear him screaming it while doing something ridiculous.

I find interesting that now the former head of the BBC has said they blew it in firing him....to little to late. Wonder how much it contributed to him being the "former" head of the BBC. I'll leave that to our British brethren on the forum to address but I share the feeling that for all of their wonderful foolishness, it was Clarkson, May and Hammond that sent me over the edge from car owner to full blown car love dementia.

He had left BBC before any of the clarkson stuff transpired.

I was a closeted car guy my whole life. I had one truck, drove it 20 years, and that limited by ability to feel like I could participate in the lust for petrol. I didn't realize I started going to go to car shows, etc just when I started looking for a new car a few years ago.... all of which coincided with Netflix getting every episode ever of TG.

It was off my radar for about 15 seasons, but the thing that hooked me was the episode with the Toyota Helix. It was pure genius. I immediately watched it all, over a long period of time. By the time I saved up, ordered, committed to the F-Type, I was a full fledged petrol head, and it was about 2 months prior to my car's arrival I saw Series 20 Episode 6 with the F-Type. Oh my goodness that was cathartic warmth that coursed through my body.

Absolutely superb. I don't want high hopes for the new show... expectations are meant to be dashed. But man, that show. Definitely let me embrace my car-lover-ness. Also, I think it helped make it less "porsche vs bmw" or "this car vs that car", and more of a "car lover community" and "people that rather text and not drive". Anyhoo... the Helix Ep:

BTW - Clarkson's screenshot in the Part 2.... OH MAN HE LOOKS SO YOUNG.

Hey... I am still waffling on X152, because I am getting over my own distaste of personalized plates. I was wondering, on a totally non-cat related plate... if you saw a word "Sonder", what would you think? Any reaction, negative or otherwise? It's a fairly "new" (made up) word to explain a powerful concept that has to deal with empathy. I feel strongly that there is a crisis of empathy in this world, and I love the word. Here's a bit about it:

Not sure it's too out there or weird. I just wonder if people would look up the word, or search it, etc. Rather than a pun, something that could be meaningful might be fun? I dunno, and likely overthinking it, as I am prone to do.

I just bet people would think it was some reference to your exhaust 'note' as in 'sounder'.....

Just my $0.02...

I've encountered this before. My impression is that it's a digital marketing gimmick aimed at the millennials: everyone is unique, exceptional and special (sonder meaning special in German). You might as well put "CRYSTALS" on your tag and take home your award for just showing up. (How's that for overthinking it?) lol
