How rare is this model

 

Rare. Around 500 VDP s/c made in the X308 I believe. There was also the super V8 which was not badged as a S/C VDP.

I have a friend with one that he is going to sell shortly as well- If you break down the colors and numbers, you are talking maybe 100- 200 per color maybe with the exception of Black which I would expect was built in more numbers.

 

I can't tell what color this car is. Topaz? Sommat else? Silver? Also, what does S/C indicate?

 

S/C= supercharged- looks to be silver with black interior

 

Is the car yours? The only upgrade I wish my '02 VDP had was to be the VDP S/C aka. Super V8.

It appears to have mismatched parts. The grill is chrome and non-fluted which is from a base-model XJ8/XJ8L and (I'm not certain about this but) the asteroid wheels with the chrome inset look to be from the 1st-gen x308 VDP-models (1998-2000).

...And the tree air refreshener hanging from the mirror is completely out of place in a top-of-the-line Jaguar, lol - that is a sin, lol.

Other than the rust underneath the rocker-panel, the car looks mint (way better condition than mine!)

 

Yes this is my pussycat,it's the platinum package s/c v8 vdp all the extras had this car about 7yrs now.The interior is blue.

 

Very sweet cat indeed, and with blue a nice color combo.
Change the grill surround for an original fluted one, they are around on the net from time to time.

 

Looks nicely kept, good lookin' car and I also like the color combo.
