I've been chasing some kind of lean condition for a while. Might slow me down a little. Of course, the rain should slow us *all* down. I don't know about you but my tyres aren't the best choice in the wet

We're not going to push our luck if the roads are still damp. See you all in the morning.

I actually meant to show that the forecast improved! It was at 90-100%, now it looks much better! Of course, I drive in rain all the time too.

A great day! Glad to see old friends and make new acquaintances!

Thanks MuddyDog and the rest of you for tolerating my bungling try number 1 back in September!
I've promised Swimref a drive upon his return, so keep an eye on the forum, we may sneak in something on a sunny (or at least dry) weekend!

There's just something RIGHT about seeing a line of Jags (and one Porsche) out in the Autumn colors, with mountains in the backdrop

BTW - I found the problem with my car (took out the climate control valve, intercooler pump, and the fuel injector circuit). How the car didn't strand me on the other side of the mountains, I do not know.

Vince I just noticed the starburst surrounding your stellar automobile! Did you plan that or does nature just love your car?

I rebuilt the connector. Oh. My. God. I've been driving a sleeping giant, and it has AWAKEN!

My car is BACK!

Oh dear. I went hunting for XF Sportbrake information... Turns out they are bringing it to the US, and there will be an SVR version.

It looks like everyone had a great time. I am a little confused by the pictures, however. It appears that you had seven in Monroe, six on the road and then only five in Leavenworth (although you may have picked up an Aston Martin). Was the attrition really that bad?

BTW, at the same time you guys were doing the drive, Karen and I were relaxing in Baden-Baden after a full day of driving in the Black Forest. It did rain part of that day but we had incredible scenery and fun. As good as Andreas Keller is I just can't tell you how awesome the German food was in Austria, Switzerland, the South Tirol (in Italy) and Germany. Every time we found a great driving road in the Alps we called it a "Vince road," since we could imagine his joy at driving them.

We are back now and adjusting to the jet lag, looking forward to hearing more about your adventure.

Welcome back! It's YOUR adventure we will be wanting to hear about!

We had a new member and his wife join us in Monroe (Muddy, help me with thier avatar name, cause I don't recall), however they were bound for Skykomish, and parted company there.
In Leavenworth, Marko hid his Porsche at the far end of the group. Hindsight says we probably offended him a bit with the banner thing in Monroe, which was not our intent, it just seemed funny at the time... His car is beautiful, and deserved the same attention as our cats.

Hope we made up for part of it on the drive back west on 97, where he and I certainly had a great time in the sweepers! (Hint: radar radar radar!)

Anyhow. Welcome back

V
