Hello all, I bought a Jag for €200 with no engine and dashboard. I swapped the dashboard over but I got confused by the relais on top of the dash. Does anybody know what these 3 relais are for?
The one mounted on the dashboard is, as I recall, main ignition relay. The other two I haven't seen on my car, but I would guess they might be for electric windows. That is of course if yours are electric.
I can check with the manual tomorrow when I get to the garage and let you know.

Would be very much appreciated! I've worked out the one on the left tics on when I turn the key. I suspect it may be the wiper relay on top of the dash.
This is the only information about relays that the manual mentions. It seems that the one on the left-hand screen pillar is an alternator relay. On the opposite side should be a starter solenoid switch relay. (pic related)
I couldn't find any info on the third one, but as I mentioned I remember it to be a main ignition relay also referred to as a "ignition protection relay".
Hope it helps, if you're interested I can send you also a full wiring diagram from the service manual.
