My wife drives the Jag mostly. My main ride is my 1977 Harley Davidson FXE but my 2002 GMC Yukon is my trusty steed when I'm not on the bike.

I think my answer is a bit different from most others. My loyalty has generally been to Ford products. I'm a retired powertrain engineer so enjoy "A" plan pricing so our second and third cars are Ford products. That being said, We picked up our XK because Ford had ownership during its production years. In time I expect us to graduate to a later model version as well. Though TATA owns the badge now, all of the second generation X150 models were still influenced by Ford.

Beyond that, however; I enjoy driving our XK the most of any cars owned to date! It had always been a dream to own a Jag eversince seeing my first "E type" in the 60's (well before their association with Ford).

Yeah! Already informed the wife that I'll be in one of those when we win the lottery. Some say an XK is a "poor man's" Aston....maybe right too!

Or want the "full sized" GT when compared to Vantage or DB9

I enjoy Ford products as well (mostly the trucks). I can clearly see that they have learned quite a bit from their acquisitions i.e Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin. Sure wished I benefitted from "A" plan pricing..lol

I have a Ford F-250 as a back-up, errand, and sort-of-work-truck. The wife has a Lexus RX for fun and a (ugh) Prius for commuting.
In MY toy garage I have two Mustangs. Those don't come out much.

'02 Ford Explorer is my winter beater, '14 F-150 wolfs ride, My XJ's don't get out much. Toy garage has couple boats and a bunch of other cats. Arctic Cat of which I hope to be able to play with a couple in a month or so-ish. Put one set of kitties away and bring out another set.

Default MB Reliability

overall the MB Reliability isn't bad at all, as long as you keep up with your services (especially compared to the 01-08 generation BMW 7 series/ I had 2 with similar problems). if anything is out of the ordinary the car will tell you and if its electronic you can disconnect-replace and no dealer involved. some items are "coded" to the car so that requires an INDY or *********** visit to connect to STAR diagnostics to clear codes etc. I haven't had any issues on my 07 S550, and I had an 03 S500 before that and at around 160k electronics started being electronics and needing to be replaced so after a few modules I just traded up. I have heard the 12+ S-Class turbos weren't as trusty but about 50 more HP.

I've only had my XK for about 2 years now and not as maintenance heavy as I have heard. just keep it on a battery tender and all is well. had my top out of sync due to a dead battery and being backed into my garage...fun as you can imagine but remedied rather quickly with help from this forum

My 2006 XK8 coupe is complemented by a 2006 Land Rover LR3. For more mundane duty I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4 crew cab. My wife has a 1999 Mercury Mystique.

Sorry for posting here, I didn't realize that this question was on the X150 forum; thought it was just about all Jaguar owners. Moderator, feel free to delete this post.
