Default mud flaps

It seem that there is a buildup of rock chips in front of the rear wheels on the lower rocker panel. Are there any mud flaps or similar that are available for the Ftype?

I would recommend that you get Xpel pain protection film applied there. I just got mine done at my detailer's shop.

I've searched the interwebz a fair bit for F-Type mudflaps and I'm pretty sure there ain't no such thing, and definitely no OEM ones.
All I can find are generic ones which are claimed to fit the F-Type but they look terrible, I doubt they would fit even remotely neatly even if they could be fitted, and they would undoubtedly look horrible once fitted.
But those ones ronniet has look pretty damn good, I smell a group buy coming on as long as they don't cost a fortune!

I bought a pair of Fender guards from Jaguar. Think I found them as an accessory JAF0146_1E - Front Wheel Spats - T2R12665, T2R12666


These disperse the brake dust from the front a little better and look nice:

Need to have something made out of a similar material to these, but be a bit longer for the rear end.....any designers out there?

Ordered! $32 for standard shipping to the UK (south east, anyway) or $59 for priority shipping.

With standard shipping, worked out at just over £110 for any Brits reading this.

Been chatting to the guy via Facebook, he says using 3M on the F-Type. But gonna wait and see what they look like when they arrive and see if I can sort something else out that makes them removable/re-attachable.

3m is semi permanent, i.e. it's a tw@t to get off.
Small patches of black industrial Velcro works well for this kind of thing.

Yeah, but it depends how big the guards are. If they hinder removal of the wheel arch liner then I'd prefer to avoid 3M, as I presume they need to remove those every year to replace air filters etc. Velcro is an option but will see what else I can figure out.

Depending on their shape and placement it may be possible to drill holes through the mud flaps and wheel arch liners and insert scrivets into those holes, that is how the front mud flaps on XFs and XJs are attached. But of course if they are real CF it may be difficult to drill holes without risk of damage.

That's what I was thinking but being generally crap at stuff like that, I'll size it up first. If they're wide enough, then a poorly drilled hole would hopefully not be visible once fitted.

What about some compression fasteners--no drilling, no messy glue and simple to remove.

the guards Im using are so light they are attached with 3M, dont want to be drilling any holes in the car

I received my Carbon Fender Guards yesterday and installed them.



They're attached to the fender lip with 3M adhesive and two small screws. The screws were optional, but I wanted them to be secure. I made a 90 mile round trip after installing them and they stay attached.

They're very subtle and look OEM. Unless you're looking for them, you won't notice them.

Verdict: 5/5 would buy again.

Good to hear. Do you have a full side view picture of your car with the flaps installed?
