Default Hit By Flying Object On Freeway

Today I had a run-in with a flying object on the freeway. It knocked out the snapped in square on my grill. Don't know what the part is for and I'm wondering if Jaguar will send me just the snap in square (fat chance!?)

Any ideas...?

That's where the tow hook screws in.

When I remove mine to install my tow-hook plate mount (only for the annual inspection), I've noticed that cover pops off pretty easily.

That was lucky. That should be easy to replace. I got hit by a flying mcdonalds bag which came from the top of a garbage truck... the worst part was the fact that it had a full (or at least what seemed like it) cup of soda inside of it which exploded on impact with my headlight. No damage, but had to get the car cleaned immediately. I'm glad I had the top closed on this occasion.

My pleasure helping and being helped by folks on the forum. More worthwhile (and entertaining) than wasting time watching television.

U beat me to it - he usually does - but I can attest that that's where the tow hook goes (note the Jay Levine-designed and Marko Bourne-made 2016 Jaguar Lobster Run sticker on the front fender):

Less than ten miles from the dealer when I bought it last May I got road debris from a Lexus trying to "get a better look". Some how his front wheel liner came out and hit my car where the winsheild meets the pano roof. Two small scratches but hardly noticable to the untrained eye. Still aggravating.
