Has anyone else noticed that their headlights seem to be aimed a bit low? The highbeams are awesome, but the lowbeams have a noticeably short throw compared to other cars I've driven. Normal for these cars?
i thought my headlights were great and then i hit a dear and they had to replace the right headlight. First night I drove with the new headlight I could have sworn they were aimed much lower than before. I could have someone adjust them but at this point I dont care.
Very very common on pretty much all modern Jags with HID headlights that they leave the factory with the low/dipped beams aimed way too low.
I had to adjust the aim up on all three of my Jags, including the F-Type, waaaay better after adjustment, and no evidence of it being too high as I have never been "flashed" by someone coming the other way. Very easy to do, you just need a long 6 mm Allen key to turn the adjusters.
I assume it's the same way to adjust on all F-Types and model years? Can anyone send detailed instructions? Mine seem "low" as well. Pictures would help for those of us who are not so mechanically inclined. Thx in advance
Two adjusters each side, one for up/down and one for left/right.
The smaller/lower/outer one is the the one for up/down, the one on the right side in this pic from the repair manual:
Turn it clockwise to raise the height (same both sides).
