Sorry about the N or M anyway you do need amber but you can buy a Chrome plated/Amber Bulb. The Amber Bulb behind the Clear Lens will look like a "Fried Egg", therefore the Chrome/Amber Bulb is hard to see in there but when you turn on the light it is Amber....
I'm looking for those Bulbs you mentioned and will order some (again) and let you know if it happens again.....

The nice thing about the amber LEDs I bought is they don't look amber until they are turned on this avoiding the fried egg look I hope!

Fallback plan is the chromed amber bulbs you and others have mentioned. However I really hope the LED bulbs work for me.

About 950 miles into the first leg of my trip and I'm missing my Kat with every mile!

W.A., I went into eBay last night and found more information on the
CANbus Bulbs.....from what they say, They may work but it appears to be pretty time consuming, as you apparently have to put them in one at a time and check to see if it works.....If not, you have to pull it and reverse the positions.....or something like that!

Were the bulbs you used for your dash illumination plug and play? I am getting my dash done this week. I also want to do my J-Gate LED...but that seems trickier...

For my indicators and side markers, I bought Sylvania white tipped bulbs, and you can't see them until they are lit.

When I first put the LED in my license plate area, one lit up, one did not, so I removed it, turned it "upside down" and it lit up

There is nothing special about the dash bulbs; they are not CANbus. Yes, just plug and pray that you don't have to flip them.

For my indicators and side markers, I bought Sylvania white tipped bulbs, and you can't see them until they are lit.
Nice! I am going to try to go all LED if I can make it work. Should be possible.

Both are very beautiful cars. It is easy to see the lineage from XKE to XK8/XKR.

Phone Pic in Garage.

Update: Got the repeater lamps and Side Marker lens installed, but weather has prevented opportunity to do outside photo. Attached is a pic after install recently

WA Flowers, PrettyBluefin & kstevusa,

All you owners of beautiful Jaguars check out these Photos of the Texas XKR! I finally got the Side Marker Lens installed......I've always had the Clear Repeaters but it took Ms. Bluefin to talk me into the Clear Marker Lights and now I wish I had done this years ago....Now, isn't that something.....Wow! The Texas XKR rides again.............Wooha!!!!

BC, looking sweet!

When I get home from this 2-week 5000 mile road trip I will start installing all the parts currently pulled on the dining room table. Hopefully my new side markers have arrived!

Sadly we couldn't take Kat on this trip. We had too many items to deliver to our children so we had to take the Caddie instead.

BC, car looks great, difficult to see how they designed such a beautiful car and stuck the Warts, I mean amber side markers to those beautiful lines. Thanks to P.B.F. for turning me onto those clear lens and S/M's
