Default XFR MODS

Hi Everyone

Am new to all this. I'm always on here reading up about me XFR and what to do with certain bits so thank you all for the help.

Just to let you know that i have a 2009 XFR in grey with black interior, what a car !! what power and what refinement!

First time Jaguar owner and very impressed though i feel i should be wearing a shirt and tie when driving it.

Mods so far.
re-mapped to 550bhp 540lbs ft torque
K&N Air filters
Stainless steel air intake pipe ( mina Gallery - on its way )
2 silencers removed and x pipe custom made and installed - sounds like a V8 now not a quiet V8 as Jag intended

next thing in the list is to get the Pulley's upgraded - i want to get to 600bhp

the main downside so far is the fuel consumption !! living in the UK where fuel is expensive is a killer

So my question to you all is - what else is doable to one of these beasts ?

lets see, the pulleys, both supercharger and then crank for even more boost, a tune to accomodate the pulleys, larger intercooler radiators.
after that I think you running right up against all that there is to do to these cars performance wise. Better wheels and tires maybe.

Hi. Sounds like you have fone a fair bit already. I too only got my xfr recently and love it. Having come from a Impreza Sti its a big change but i would not go back. Yes fuel economy is a bitch but who cares. Mine is a kinite? Blue with quicksilver back boxes. If your near gatwick way give us a shout. I would like to see what 550 is like.

WELCOME!
Before you start buying parts, make sure you have the right year (VIN). You said it's a 2009 but the engine, wheels and mirrors indicate you have a 2010.

Mines a 2010.

That said a pulley, tune and X pipe will make you VERY happy! Oh, love your color choice too!

Hello Guys

Thanks for the kind words - to be honest its having its wheels refurbed as we speak and going into jag next week to get air con sorted as its just failed - first sunny weather we have had in England this year and the air cons gone!! hows ya luck !!

The power and speed at the moment is fine and enough - over here straight roads without speed cameras are few and far between ( especially if you live in London ) so i might just get it up and on the rolling road at mates garage to confirm the exact bhp and torque - then at least i know

not much in the way of kits for this car though hey ? I'm seen some lovely touring car versions of the XFR but none of those kits have ever been transferred to the public - though Body kitting it maybe a step too far and a bit boy racer for a jag of this nature

i have toyed with the idea of wrapping it though - lime green ? fou7nd this on tinter web and like it but wife has stated if i do she will never get in it !! so there is a plus then hahaha

Are you sure? I thought the 2009 and 2010 were identical in the uk?

I looks like Europe had a 5L SC XFR in 2009. The US didn't. The US got the 4.2L SC XF in 2009 as the top model. The XFR didn't come out until 2010 in the US. Europe also had a 2008 XF from what I can tell.

Hi Injekter - I presume from your reply you don't get fixed speed cameras where you live ? In the UK there are everywhere ( government money making scheme ) !
You can get detectors but I believe they are now illegal ( I'm sure someone else on here will correct me if I'm wrong ) but as far as cloaking devises go Captain Kirk may have one I can borrow but not heard of one for sale to put in car.😂

In the U.K. people often refer to the registration date of the car. A '59' plate as the OP has means it was registered in the 6 months after Sep 2009. So it could actually be a 2010 model year car that was registered late on in 2009 or early 2010?
