In the trunk, left side, pull the plastic grill out. Behind that is a positive post under a plastic cover. Negative post is in the spare tire well.

If you can't open the trunk, outside of car look under the drivers side fender. There is an aux battery hookup underneath the car.

Really, what years had this aux hookup? Am assuming this is the driver's rear fenderwell area?

I think the wheel well hook up came with the 5 litre cars. There should be no trouble opening the trunk with the emergency key blade.

It's behind the left rear tire, think all X150's have it. My 2007 has it. It's the bottom side of that post that you see behind the plastic grill on the left side of the trunk/boot. Someone reported that theirs even had a label tag on it, as an emergency jump connection. It's covered by a rubber boot.

Except those with non-US license plates that cover the key slot.

Mine has a label on it....it calls it out as a battery start terminal.

Yep, my '08 has that same connection as shown above this posting. Complete with BAT. Start tag.
Thanks Tampamark.

Yes, I've often wondered why they don't just drill a small hole in the plate to provide access to the lock.

The instructions are very clear, complete, and straight forward. Best practice, read the instructions through to the end to get an idea of the scope. Be aware the top has to be up, move the seats as far forward as possible to allow as much room to the rear seats as possible. Have available good lighting, if your garage allows, leave room for the doors to open completely. Allow a couple of hours. I'm sure others will chime in with their experience.

Most of the work can be done with the top down, but you are correct, in that some has to be done with the top up, so you do need to fold yourself into that space for a little while.
The instructions are very very good.
First, and by far, the best mod I’ve made to my car.

If I can do it, you can, too (assuming that you can read and follow directions). See this thread and my Post #153 from 2014 for installation tips:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-video-109235/

It's what the factory forgot, and makes top-down driving a pleasure with all four windows up and a rear wind deflector.
