those same images pop up when you do a Google search. ask for real pictures and video if you buy sight unseen.

I bought this car: 2005 XKR coupe in San Luis Obispo from British Sports Cars. It used to belong to Jason who owns XKs Unlimited. I spoke with him and he said it's one of the few cars he regrets selling. The pre-purchase inspection came up clean. I'm having it shipped to me next week. It's like waiting for Christmas! (Yeah, I know, I have to pay.... grin)

Ah.. That one was beautiful. Wish I would have held out when I bought mine. I would have happily paid 2-3k more, for a nicer one, in a different color.

On a side note, I just picked this one up today.

Be prepared to do a respray up front. I've never seen paint chips that bad.

'05 XKR 'vert here w/68K miles for just $11,500. Looks too good to be true (and probably is).

If it is true, it's worth a buy. Even if there are knackered paint sections that need a respray, leaky top hoses, etc. If work weren't so hectic, I'd be tempted to look into this.

Love it! I wish I still had my 1970 Roadrunner and/or my 1968 Barracuda! I don't recall that grill ever being used on the Roadrunner--what year is that--1973?

Well, I've received the "new" XKR and I'm pleasantly surprised as it's the only car that I've ever bought sight unseen other than pictures on the Web. I was not able to travel, so it was a bit nerve racking as I had not even driven a sister ship, much less this exact car. It's all there, it all works; it doesn't leak oil, make funny noises, it shifts, stops and points correctly. The paint is actually better than it looked in the photos from the ad, but I'll still end up painting the nose and probably put on a clear bra as I budgeted for that from the get go. The suspension has been rebuilt, the oil and filter in the transmission has been changed, fairly new Michelin Pilot Sports, and the PO was fanatical about oil changes and put new synthetic and filters in it about every 2.500 miles. Yes, it came with service records. SoCal car, with a brief life in TX. The only problem, other than "normal" wear and tear (looks pretty good, actually) is that the driver's outside mirror is loose. Not the housing, but the glass inside the housing rocks around. Very disconcerting when going down the highway. I'm trying to figure out how to fix it, but it shouldn't be too tough, I hope! I haven't taken photos yet, but here's one from the ad.

Congrats! I looks like you are in California and the car was in San Luis Obispo. So you had it shipped instead of just picking it up and driving it home?

Yeah, 'fraid so! I would have loved to take a few days and drive up the coast, visit friends along the way and enjoy the car and the scenery, but I just moved my 96 year old father into a new addition to my house that my son and I built after my mother died. I could not leave him alone; either in his old house or mine. We're working on a solution to the problem, so I can get out for a few hours, if not a few days, but we're not quite there yet.

Gorgeous Car! I hope you've been enjoying it. Best wishes for your father as well.

Here's one in Ft. Lauderdale, FL 41,000 miles. I think it's a Victory Edition.

Yes, that is indeed a Victory Edition model. Keep in mind that it is significantly overpriced....

Thanks MediaBobNY. I appreciate the post. I looked at it and it is a bit on the high side. The J-Gate damage is tolerable, but those wheels... They're bigger than standard on the XKR so that's upgearing issues and I'm not a fan of their looks.

I came across this one: XKR Base. I don't think they know what they've got. It's a victory edition. I'm doing some research on the vin to make sure it hasn't been in a crash, otherwise the price is amazing. I'll take it and still work on whatever is wrong with the engine.
Edit: Accident was reported back in 2016, no details though.
