Default Coolant level sensor

Does the x type normally have a coolant level sensor fitted in the expansion/header tank ?
My car has the wiring plug, and the expansion tank has the moulding to take a sensor, but no sensor is fitted.

Thanks,
Paul.

The X-Type does not have a coolant level sensor in the expansion tank. The expansion tank has visible coolant level lines imprinted on the tank.

If the cable you see near the tank is a 2 conductor plug and doesn't appear to have a home then it is the battery isolator connection that was used on the car when shipped from the factory.

You will find a nub at the bottom of the battery box. That is where that wire is plugged in. It is just a holder to keep it form floating around loose.
