Telling people how to raise their kids is often as well received as telling people what's wrong with their race, religion, spouse and political beliefs. The comments have been shared and I think we need to get back to the topic, fawning over XKs and other cars.
This picture is what made me interested in the X100 the very first time and hooked me:
The 2003 XKR Coupe in Ebony with the 20" BBS Detroit Wheels is one of the most Beautiful Cars ever made!.......I flew from Houston to Chicago to buy one just like it! The only difference; mine had 20" BBS Montreal's. Absolutely one of the most beautiful Cars ever made!

I prefer the Montreal over the Detroit. However, I really don't like 20's on the X100s. Obviously, just my opinion :-)
All the ruffled feathers smoothed down now?
This is a forum and people have different opinions, you can agree or not but personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Once again, the POINT IS: "What someone else does or what someone else says, is really none of your business and you should keep your comments to yourself".... Enough!

Jeez, I quoted the post just so I could have an excuse to tell everyone about my first car.

The good news is that no XKR really came with a less than pretty wheel. Although picking from a Montreal and a Detroit set of wheels would be hard since both are achingly pretty. I'd love to be inconvenienced with either option!
I like my Double Fives; but I'd rate them not even in the top 3 .

This is not the 2003 XKR but it is the 05 XKR that replaced it! Someday, I plan to shoot a Photo of the 2005 in the same position as the Beautiful 2003 w/ the Detroit's. There's got to be a little hill some where down here on the Coast! This will have to do until then!
DOUG, we have plans to meet up next month in Huntington Beach, then drive down to Newport Coast for lunch. Message me if you want details. It will be on Saturday morning.
Have you seen many coupes? I see Verts, but never a coupe, except for a 2000 at a dealership...
Yo, I wanna hit up this thing too!

Jules, I believe we will all meet as usual in Huntington, then those who want will drive down PCH to Newport Coast to another Starbucks and Bear Flag Fish tacos in the Crystal Cove Plaza, or we can be fancy and park with the Lambos at Javiers... text me!
My 2006 XKR Victory coupe has that badge. I read the checkered flags signified the Victory model.

Graham is correct about the European 4.2-S Final Edition XK's & XKR's but the US version called "Victory Edition" had a "Special Tail Light", which was
"smoked"! Also, I don't think the US version had the 4.2-S Badge on the left rear as the "Final Edition" did in Europe but it did have the Tread-Plate and White Front Badge, as Graham has shown you....I'm also not sure if the European version had the "Smoked Tail Lights"...
You can still buy most of the Badges, Tread-Plates and Tail Lights from various sources but I'm told that the "White" Front emblem is no longer on the Market! I was lucky enough to find a set of V/E Taillights for my XKR, I hope to show you by an attached Photo...If I can make it work..........
Went to the HUGE Supercar event that happens every Saturday morning from 7am to 9am at the Outlets in San Clemente, Ca.
Jaguar sponsored the event, with the world premier of the "highest performance Jaguar to date" there, edition of 300 cars...
It is called the XE SV Project 8...
Met a lot of people who had never seen an XKR Coupe, so it was fun. Got parked next to a $375,000 Ferrari.
Here is a pic of me with my cat, in the slightly rainy, ocean fog weather...
Prettybluefin,
I'll bet the guy with the Ferrari was upset by having the most Beautiful XKR in California parked next to him...You and the Silver Cat pretty much took the "shine" away from the Italian Stallion! The Girl and her Silver Coupe...one couldn't go wrong there.....
trust me, my cat was probably the least expensive car there. i saw super cars that were over $450,000, and very very rare historical cars... it was quite the treat!
Y'all are putting my Kat to shame. She has been peed on by squirrels, pooped on by birds and splashed in mud following flood making rains. I'm still following my surgeon's orders and not doing the sort of physical exertion needed to give her a bath. And I've been too busy at work and home to get her to a detailer.
Poor neglected Kat!
On the good news side I'm pain free. I've also figured out where all the water is coming into Kat. I need to get that fixed before the floor rusts out; there must be 1/2" of water in there right now. I was sitting in the car after lunch one day waiting for the rain to let up so I wouldn't get too wet and noticed a steady trickle of water coming in at the front of both doors. GRRR!!!
And you would think that all that rain would wash the dirt off, but it doesn't seem to work.
Maybe when I take Kat to the dealer to fix the leak I can talk to their body shop about all the paint chips and parking lot dings. Hmmm ...
