Low Oil Pressure 1997 XK8
If you haven't towed the car yet, let me throw out a simple idea. Try swapping the relay in the driver's side fuse box with another relay in the engine compartment on the driver's side of the car, parallel with the car. What you will be doing is swapping the (an) ignition relay with a wiper or air conditioning relay. There are several other ignition relays, but that is the easiest one to describe. If I can free up a few minutes later today, I'll attach a drawing with the locations of the ignition relays. Since we know you have fuel pressure, the next step (at least this is what I would do) would be to target relays and fuses that control spark.
Reporting back, no change in behavior after swapping the relay. On a different note, could anybody recommend Bluetooth OBDII reader compatible with iphone / ipad. On top of everything my 2005 X Type is starting to develop a dreaded DSC module fault issue. Would this work:
Thank you.
Thank you.

Just ordered one, thank you.
So I made all arrangements to have the car towed and went to get some stuff out of the trunk. Decided to give it another try, car starts and drives with no issues whatsoever. Drove it home. Scratching my head here. I saw somewhere on the forum that there is a way to add some gauges to monitor oil pressure, etc. Anybody could point me to the right thread?
One of our forum members has the "right stuff". Best investment there is as far as I'm concerned.
