There is always the stuff still left, wipers that barely worked when brand new... window motors now almost fifty years old.. door latches and hinges (they break and sag and the springs) plus all the other stuff still in there.

I know, I have replaced most of those parts already!

Well ladies and gentlemen, she's on the ground.

I did 20-30 minutes of driving around local blocks last night in a low power state to make sure I don't mess anything up before turning up the wick. It's nice and quiet and smooth just as expected, the old jag really does feel awesome whooshing down the road in silence

It was late at night so the videos aren't so great but what the hell you're living this with me right? Enjoy!

It drives! Wonderful. Quite an achievement. I'd be real interested in see what the range is in typical driving.

Really nice plan and execution. my compliments, sir.

A bit odd to see the car moving right along, but the tach and speedo needles at rest.

I'll be watching for the refinements.

Breaking new ground? How...? many many cars have been converted to electric, was somewhat popular in the 80's and 90's to. We had a local guy here on Staten Island named Mario that did many.

Cool, another one! Not my taste with all the body modifications and DC motors are old news but it's sweet to see there's a like-minded soul out there 👌🏼

My tach-ammeter is having some trouble, but don't worry it'll be operational real soon as Roger said, the speedo (original!) works a treat with the speed hut GPS driver

It looks like I'm going to need to design a new inverter with a boost converter built in as this motor is getting into field weakening territory a little too early. Oh well, I already have some improvements on the list for round two anyway

I'm absolutely in awe! Incredible that you did this so fast. I would love to have a ride in it and I'm glad it is a series 1 with the cool dash. Is the AC working yet?

I'm seeing some 3d printed custom fuel/charge port doors...

Slick, not being picky as to the speedo needle. I see it, now. GPS interface insures super accuracy, whatever the gears or tire sizes. The future for all critters?

The speedo in my "lump" is nuts. I have a fix. But, far down on the task list. My ancient Tomtom is on the dash. I can read MPH there quite nicely.

And, before that, I merely coordinated the tach to mph. Kept me "inbounds".

Rides available once I get the startup from stop sorted out smoothly!

Carl, funny I did the exact same when the jag had the ICE. My speedo drive had busted somewhere shortly before I pulled the engine and I used the tach to estimate speed on the road. Now I have a speedo and no tach!

Yup !. Use what you got. One of my favorite "catch phrases".

SOG.I went on errands a bit ago. Twas my venerable old Jeep's turn. I've not delved in it's console cubby in long while. Treasure !!! My RX sun glasses! A charger for not only my old Tom tom, but my equally old
flip cell !!!

And cassetes. Music up! Marty Robbins !!!

Good day in the shop as well. Lots more emery cloth to the driven shaft on the Big Chipper. Fresh emery and new pulley is almost in alignment with the drive pulley on the engine. Were it not in such an awkward position, I think I could drive it home.

And, the new Kevlar drive belt arrived via USPS.

Fixed the Weed Whacker. Feed issues.

End of energy and shoulder allowance.

More for Saturday. Before the F's go nuts.

Lunch time. Cool food.

Technically, I'm sure you're right. But let's face it, in the grand scheme of things there are still only a tiny number of conversions of any kind, let alone Jags, so IMO Bryson's is still breaking ground. Although I didn't say 'new', that might have been more accurate: the tech and methods of twenty to thirty years ago has certainly been superseded by now, and I for one find Bryson's efforts and the results so far to be timely, encouraging and impressive. Don't you?

Andrew.
