Default XFRS replica bumper fitted

I picked up a replica XFRS bumper from vehiclerevolution.com (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-X2...-/112653925105) It was the small fake air intakes with the chrome inserts I wasn't too keen on more than anything on the standard S bumper plus I loved the one came on XFRS but that car and fuel costs are way out my budget!

It's come unpainted so I had to get it sprayed first. Took a while for me to swap everything over as the new bumper comes without the washers, clips, screws etc and then I had to fit it but I'm very happy with the results now it's done:

He already has them. The only thing he is missing now is the big wing from the XFR-S...which is what I am interested in most of all!!!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Thanks for pointing that out, the side skirts come as standard on the S. I also need the rear shark fin lower valance thing and twin tips or a new back box, VR will sort me a good price on them so they will come after Xmas

The thing I'm least interested in is that big wing! That's definitely not to my taste, they do sell them but it's too OTT for me. I guess it's a marmite thing. They are working on a smaller spoiler, they showed me some pics, it might suit me better but I'm quite happy with the little lip that comes on the S.

I'm not much of a fan for the XFR-S Wing;

I do like this style though;

IMHO, that was a waste of time and money. If you had just had the chrome painted in gloss black on your original bumper, it would look 99% the same to everyone. You should paint the grill to match.

Resprayed replica bumpers are never going to look as good as the OEM factory fitted bumper, and the cost and effort didn't buy much.

Just my opinion, so don't go all crazy.

You're the only person to say anything negative like that and I also posted it on jaginfo.org where it has nothing but positive comments too. So about 20 to 1 isn't bad going. You can never please everyone but you can please yourself

That's the style I would like, more subtle than the big wing but more pronounced than the small lip as standard on the S.

come on man! you are totally trolling! Besides....A good body shop will blend the new painted piece into the rest of the car, so he probably got his hood and fenders blended in.

Granted, you have to know your Jaguars to be able to tell the difference, but if the OP wanted the look then he made it happen. I want the wing...I don't care if anyone thinks it looks bad. I like it, so when I am done with my other mods, I will probably get it....lol..by then my XF will be 4 or 5 years old and it will be time to begin a new project anyways!!!!

I do agree the difference is only subtle between the bumpers but I knew that going in and I'm very happy the results, it's a bonus everyone else seems to like it but like you say, you're modding your car to please yourself, not other people. It's all a waste of time and money, might as well just drive round in a reliable but cheap Honda or something similar but when you have a passion for your car, it's not a waste because it brings you enjoyment

I love how it turned out!! I was thinking of doing the same for my 3.0 S as well. Main reason being mine is BRG and i havent seen XFRS in that color ever so it might be a nice standout.

I say go for it! Your car already looks great but the new bumper will make it look even more aggressive and it'll be unique in that lovely color

I am intrigued that the new bumper apparently comes with an all new number plate.
