Default Seeking 2002-2004 XKR Coupe

Hi all,

I've missed out on a few cars lately and have been searching for months. Seeking a 2002-2004 XKR coupe. Will accept higher (100k+) miles with service history.

Will travel for the right car. Send me a PM if you are a 'opportunistic seller"!

Love unique colors (green, blue, red, etc). Will settle for a 2001/early 2002 if the timing chains are sorted (with proof of replacement). Unmolested examples preferred. Happy New year and happy motoring!

I would heartly advise getting only a late 2002 thru 2004 that is a 4.2 L engine. That is when all the timing chain problems were solved. The 4.0L has the problems unless they have been changed.

There were two coupes listed on Dallas Craigslist last I checked. One red and the other was black. Both fine looking cats.

Thanks mh. I have seen them.

Although I liked the black one, it is very odd to me that it has the base 18"s with Recaros.
The $16,500 firm for 70k miles is aggressive. I just missed a 51k mile 2004 in Los Angeles with full history for $11k (With BBS 20"s) so it looks less appealing in comparison (admittedly, underpriced).

There was a late 02 (4.0L) in BRG in Dallas w/ 91k miles that sold for $10.6k which was a very fair deal.

The red one @ $13.5k is either a salvage car or curiously modified. Note that it has XK8-only 19" wheels and an XK8-only (exc. 2000MY) center gauge cluster, and XK8-only front seats. Note the straight stitching. Those are not XKR seats. Fishy. Maybe a Harvey car that made its way to DFW?

@zray, I did. Odd seller. I kept trying to contact him to ask basic questions about the car (he first listed it in August for $14k on craigslist) and he stated this time that it was "against Ebay policy" for him to talk to me or answer my questions. Huge red flag, (I thought) He continued to slash the price down to $8k and then accepted a best offer below 8k. Odd.
