Default Lock wire

Would anyone happen to know what diameter lock wire to use. I’ve tried a piece of 0.8 but seems a bit small. I’m going to locktite everything but while it’s in bits on the bench might as well go the whole hog. Thanks

I am in the aviation business and we use safetywire, of course in US inches reference, these sizes: .025", .032", .041". (Thousandth of an inch). I would think .025 would be sufficient for the various bolts that use safetywire. .025 is 0.635mm. .032 is 0.812mm
I also recommend these pliers:
