I'm in the process of figuring out how to attach an R rear valence set to my V6S and it's easy to see how the two big pieces fit together, but I'm having difficulty trying to visualize how the 2 small "plates" fit in the mix. Some close-up photos would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

Which "plates" are you referring to?

I've installed and removed the V8 exhaust and diffuser/valance half a dozen times now. I probably have pictures of what you're looking for!

 

Awhile ago someone sent me the rear valence for a V8 and I couldn't figure out where the 2 small flat plates snapped into. Laying out the pieces to photograph for you, it suddenly became apparent how it fit together. Doh!

 

Lol I had a feeling it was the two exhaust shields
