Tires size for a 2003 SuperV8

Default Tires size for a 2003 SuperV8
Hi. It’s time to purchase new tires but according to tire buyers and American tires my car comes with two different sizes -
it’s a 2003 SuperV8 with primal rims
255/45ZR17
and
235/50/17

which one is correct ? Currently the latter ones are mounted on my car but would 255/45ZR17 fit, look and feel better ? Easier to find that’s for sure -

I think most 255/45-17 tires will call for a minimum rim width of 8 inches. Solars are 7.5 inches.
