Unhappy Help with clutch noise after dealer oil change

I'm really hoping you all could provide me with some advice...
On Friday I took my car (2018 6sp R-Dynamic) to a JLR dealer (same one I've been going to since the purchase 3 years ago) for an oil change, a check up, and a state inspection. I've had her out, for the first time this year, a couple weeks ago for a little ride (~40mins each direction) and she was running great. Everything was fine when I shut it off at the dealer. I waited for the service to be completed, and then a couple hours later, I got in to drive home. When I turned the car on, something didn't sound quite right... was like a very slight, higher pitch whine/whirl sound. I thought it was maybe just me, so I started away. Once I got moving to higher speed and shifting, I immediately noticed a distinct, and reasonably loud, whine during shifting, specifically when pushing in the clutch. I went back to the shop, and had both the service contact and the shop leader listen to it while parked. They both could hear the noise when letting off the accelerator from higher rpms, and it was especially prevalent when pressing the clutch at those higher rpms. The shop leader's thought is that it's something to do with the pressure plate of the clutch not working correctly.
He said they could look at it, but they were quite convinced it didn't occur because of the oil change. While I'm clearly inclined to agree, I'm also 100% certain it was NOT making that noise when I got out before the service, so something must have happened during it. I drove it home, with some little hope it would straighten itself out, but to no avail.

I'm really distraught here ... not getting the impression they're going to be super helpful in getting this sorted (and not charging me for all the work!)... obviously I have to at least talk to the manager and try, which I will do. However, is there anyone out there who can provide some thoughts on what could have caused it?

Thanks.

Was the car driven during the service visit? Unless someone did something abusive on the drive and caused damage to the clutch, which is always possible but somewhat unlikely, it might just be a bad coincidence. Did they do any other repairs while it was in?
