Default Rear crankshaft seal replacement 4.2s/c

I'm in the process of removing the engine from the car (again!) and one of the jobs I need to do whilst the engine and trans are out, is to replace the rear main seal which has been weeping for a good while. Has anyone else replaced the rear main seal on these engines- supercharged or not? The parts diagram on Jaguar Classic Parts website does not show any detail but it appears to be a simple round seal. That website also states 'no longer available' so I'm thinking I will need to obtain a viton seal of the correct size from an industrial supplier. I'm fine with that but just wondering if there are any particular tricks or traps to be aware of, both in separating the trans from the engine and in replacing the seal.

Looks fairly straightforward in topix, the seal installer is just a very basic tool, so any normal rear main seal installation tricks should apply here. It does say to install it dry. The seals show available from many aftermarket companies with a quick check on rockauto, so they should be easy enough to get locally.
