Default CD Auto Changer wiring colours

Previous owner took out the original radio and replaced with FM/DAB radio without CD changer option. So I assume the wiring from the CD changer was just cut, it looks like it. I'm considering buying another radio, (DAB is of varying quality) so I can use CD changer again. First I need to verify that the wiring is still there. So I would like to know what colour wires I should expect to see in the (cut) loom from the changer. But looking at Electrical Diagram 18.3, there's just one thick lice drawn from CD changer to radio, so no information on colours.

Can anybody help?

It calls it a 2-way/antenna connection, is it a coax cable?

G'day No Quarter,

I just went outside and checked the CD Unit in my boot/trunk and the connector is a multi pin plug, 8 pins, on a thick cable which I think travels forward and plugs into the rear of the radio.

Cheers and good luck,
Jeff.

This is supposed to replace the Cd unit so must be the same plug type, yes that's going to be a bear to splice. I would suggest trying to find a matching cable and doing an overlay.

Sorry if unclear, yes I have the CD player in the trunk and the multipin plug that looks like something from my old 70s stereo days. But in the center console, radio out, I'm trying to find out if the

wires I see are just cut, whether they are for the CD changer in the trunk

That seems like too many wires, for it to be the DIN 8 connector. But yes if that's all you got, I would say time to bust out the trusty multimeter and start checking wiring continuity, then splicing in a plug. The amazon link above was for cables but I found just connectors with exposed leads as well.

I believe the attached wiring diagram may assist you, note that the CD changer lead is shown as one thick wire, not individuals. They possibly just cut the main radio connections and removed the CD plug from the radio.
Note the following wiring colors to reference the wiring diagram -
N Brown, B Black, W White, K Pink, G Green, R Red, Y Yellow, O Orange, S Slate, L Light, U Blue, P Purple
