[VIDEO] My Sports Mode Not working
That's a weird one!
Your video shows the Sports switch illuminates in Park but in no other selected position. However, although the switch is lit in Park, it doesn't necessarily follow that Sports mode is actually activated.
The Sports switch is hard wired to ECM but it looks like the transmission interlock / inhibitor is also involved here.
I'd eliminate a possible faulty Sports switch before moving on to more obscure and $$ causes. Check the connections and whether there's an output from the switch.
It's worth posting a link to this video in X-Type section so the resident experts don't miss it. Also confirm whether the Sports mode had previously been operating normally.

Had exactly the same problem. Never figured it out UNTIL a couple years later when I finally had to replace the battery. From that day forward it's worked flawlessly. Listening to your car start it doesn't sound like the starter cranks as strongly as it could.
A few weeks ago I had to fix my rim, and they told me my sports mode wasn't working because the battery was corroded. And yes, now my car sounds better starting up. Thanks for your reply !
good to know. Thanks
