Hi RegentV12,
What is the warning light on the left side of the instrument panel? Is it the ABS system warning light? It's been about 8 years since I had my '90 XJ40 so I forgot what it was.

I guess my memory is better than I thought. If you want more of a rumble maybe you can get a local mechanic or muffler shop to fabricate straight pipes in lieu of the rear mufflers. The straight sixes had a real mellow sound to them in the XK series, especially the E-Types so it would be cool if you could get yours to sound likewise.

Snag is, local and muffler shop. If I do anything I will have to do it myself. Borrow a mandrel pipe bender and go from there.
The local blacksmith has been known to allow me use of his shop and forge.
Usually costs me a couple of days labour on agricultural stuff, which then seems to graduate to a couple of months.
Last time, we made a dune buggy out of a big engine and a load of box section. Seemed like a good idea, hic. Was a blast to drive though.
