Default 1963 Jaguar MK2 Parts - Applicable to 1964 Daimler?

There is a local guy who has some 1963 Jaguar Mark 2 parts.
Are any of the engine or interior parts interchangeable with the 1964 Daimler?

He might have the air filter I need, and he's selling the radiator for $600.
( IS that the going market price? )

Are there any MUST-HAVE parts that I should get that are rare?

600 bucks for a used rad seems a bit much, a new one from XK's is a 1000.00$
SNG Barratt doesn't list a price.
I think a re-core would be less then 600.00$.
The problem with used (very old) rads is you don't know the history _ it could be all plugged inside and leaky _ plus I believe the hose and fill locations are different.
Best stay away...

The air filter assembly is not the same at all. The layout of the Jag straight 6 and the Daimler V8 are totally different.

Must have parts _ they're all rare now...
Most things that wear out are available and if you find a used spare, chances are it will be worn too and unusable.
Maybe the wind-shield, but again most originals have small chips, scratches etc...

Perhaps some chrome bits like the tail lamp housing, the white metal they are made of gets "pimply" what's the condition of yours ?
The Mark2 Jag and Daimler are the same, but (with out checking) the lenses may be all red on one or may be amber on the top, but the chrome housing will be the same.

body and chrome parts are mostly interchangeable, but not engine parts.

a used radiator for $600.00 ??? highway robbery, don't buy it, you can get yours recored at your local Radiator Shop for less than half that. Tell them you want a modern more efficient core.

Wizard cooling sells an excellent aluminum Mk2 radiator for $659, and can adapt a transmission cooler to it if needed.

Now that I think of it, I have a used aluminum radiator for the MK2, in perfect working order (I.e. no leaks and clean). You can have it for $100 plus shipping.

Jose,
That's a very good question. I have no idea. When I look at the part numbers on SNG, they are not.
Sorry about that, my bad.

you mean they do not look the same? or the part numbers are not the same?

at least in the sense of SIZE, they must be similar because it is the same "nose".

my question would be if the top and bottom hose ports are in the same place as in the MK-2 radiator.

The part numbers are not the same, and the picture in the part diagram is different. It seems that the inlet (top) hose is on the other side from the Mk2 radiator.

They are not the same! The Daimler radiator has an in-built oil cooler at the bottom of the radiator and connections for the oil pipes.
