Hi Marc,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us!

I have visited your website several times, and while I do not speak French, I have enjoyed viewing your photos.

Cheers!

Don

Thanks, Jerry.

I use NoScript and AdBlocker and other measures that prevent some website links from appearing unless I disable those protections. I'll check the next time I visit Marc's site. I can always use google translate if I need to understand the text.

As do I Don, slightly different softwares but with same result.

I suppose you know this, but if site prevents you from viewing content due to said blockers you can enter "reader view" (Firefox) which will allow you to see a less stylized, but quite usable page.

Thanks, Larry.

Yes, I know how to change the options in my security programs. The interesting thing is that when I visit Marc's page, it appears to be complete with all the graphics and links working, but I don't see any button related to translation. Jerry, where on Marc's page do you see that button?

Cheers,

Don

Ah! You got me. I am using Microsoft edge and it is automatically appearing as a drop down from the address box. Hint- This is what I know about "computers."

You don't have to alter any settings in your security programs Don, just hit the F9 key (Firefox) to sidestep the site ad-blocker "blocker" and read the content ...less a few CSS styles.

I don't think AdBlocker is my issue. F9 makes no difference on Marc's page. And NoScript doesn't identify any Java scripts that it has disabled. I've tried enabling scripts anyway on Marc's page but still don't get a Translate button.

Thanks!

Don

I wasn't referring to Marc's page, it doesn't stop you reading it, just mentioned it as a general tip if you use ad blockers and get asked to disable or else ....things you run into on the web, news sites sometimes, NYT etc.

Sorry for the misunderstanding

Larry

Ah, that makes sense. It's a browser toolbar app or similar.

Me too. I misunderstood Jerry and thought he meant that your web page contained a Translate button.
