Default Any UK based XK120/40/50 Owners

Hello,

Are there any forum members who currently possess any of the early XK's that also live in the UK?

Thanks very much.

I've copied your post from XK120 XK140 XK150 forum.

May help if you explain what you're looking for.

Thanks Graham!

It's a bit of odd request, that I didn't want to bother the whole forum with, but I am happy to explain.

My daughter is in the UK for university, and is in her final year of studying Fashion Design. The final year of study culminates with a thesis and the design of a graduate collection.

Her thesis is on the influence/confluence of automobile design and fashion. Well that's my paraphrase, but it gives the idea. She's grown up around Jaguars, and they definitely are a major part of her inspiration for the collection.

She is home for Easter and mentioned that she wanted to find an early XK to use in a photoshoot. Not a big or time consuming one for the entire collection, she's trying to find a classic car dealer or museum for that.* She is talking about a single model and photographer, and they would travel to the owner to minimize any inconvenience (and I'll tell her to not let the model touch or lean on the car!)

I volunteered to reach out to the forum for her. I'm her dad so I know I'm biased, but she is a great kid and incredibly talented.

*Although if anyone can offer assistance on that front, it would be very much appreciated. Come to think of it, I'm sure she would be interested in an E-Type or any photogenic classic.

Thanks everyone!

Best wishes to her for a successful collection.

I hope one of our members can help with a suitable vehicle.
