Apologies if there is already a thread on here!

Reference the cup holders in the front of the '15 Plate XE. I had my phone sitting in the holder when i closed the armrest and it hit the phone, this pushed the holder from its 'mooring' and now the cup holder is loose within the centre console. I took it to my local Jag showroom as i was going past and asked them to look at it and i was told it would cost north of £580 to supply and replace the part!

Has anyone had experience of this before, or does anyone know of independent repairers who could sort this, i live in the East Midlands (Northamptonshire) and have had no luck at all in finding someone who could affect this repair, bodywork shops obviously deal with the external and trim repairers deal with the fabric and leather of the interior!

 

From the price quoted, it sounds like the Console Base (P/N T2H3097) is damaged (see item 20):




I couldn't find a used one listed anywhere but this used console may be an option to rebuild yours. JEPC lists the same P/N for X260 and X760 models if you want to seach against both models:

Not cheap but a lot less than a new Console Base.

Thanks for the reply and the advice, yeah i think it may be the console base thats damaged, just infuriating that the one little bit of damage necessitates such a big bit of kit to be removed!
