Default Jaguar X350 V6 2005

Hi to everyone just want to know how to wire my dashcam into my reversing light, was told to wire it up to green & orange have tried that still no joy can anyone please advise me what color wire I need to connect to, I tested most of the wires that go to the light cluster and they were all live and had no key in or had it in gear I was thinking maybe I should just wire to a normal one way switch as I have never known this before , I await any reply regards Graham

When I lost my tell tale light in the cabin (and failed an MOT) for my rear fog lamp I took power from the relevant relay in the boot and that worked well. Can you do the same using the reversing light relay?

Hi Graham,

I'm no expert, by any means, but I believe that Jaguar X350s take the reversing lamp signal from the negative side of the battery, not the positive. you will need a relay to convert this to a positive input for your reversing camera.

Regards,
Wammers
