Wink Recommendation in Cornwall?

Just got my first jaguar - X type V6 2.5 SE am delighted. Any recommendations for good independent Jag specialist in North Cornwall/Devon please? Ten years old and like new. Told would be like Mondeo - what load of rubbish it is beautiful and so easy to work on. Help please!

Welcome to the forum DocRiggers,

X-Type is an often maligned model (mainly by those who have never driven one!) and now tremendous value for money.

I'm at the opposite end of England to you but I'm sure the South West 'locals' will be able to help with finding an Indy.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Hi DocRiggers,

Please see below. I posted this back in April and he may be further away than you want to travel.

I have come across an independent Jaguar specialist in my local area called Greg Lummis of G & D Motors. I understand from talking to him that he has 22 years Jaguar experience with the local main dealer, Ryders Jaguar and he now operates from their original main dealer premises.
He is clearly passionate about the marque and I can't help but be impressed by his enthusiasm and knowledge and I would recommend him to anyone who needs some work on their Jaguar.
When I called in earlier this week, he had three XK8/R's, an STR and an XJ in the workshop.

If you haven't done so already it would be worth joining the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club; their regional forums will be able to point you in the right direction.
