My 2005 S- type 2.7D has just developed parking sensor problems. I have both front and rear and the light on the overhead consile is on so I know that's OK. I get the 3-second warning tone when I first engage reverse so at least I know the speaker works.

I have followed the instructions in other threads (mainly X-Type) to listen to the sensors and can't figure out the following:

Two of the rear sensors tick as they should and three of the front. Surely it is too much of a co-incidence that three of the eight would all fail at the same time? Wierd! Has anyone experienced similar?

I have removed the module - everything dry as a bone - disconnected and re-connected, all to no avail. So it looks like I'll have to take off the bumpers to play musical sensors to check them individually.

Has anyone any tips for doing this (bumper removal) efficiently & how long it should take, please? Also, can anyone recomend a sensibly-priced Jag service/diagnostic engineer in the Essex area. Our local main dealer is extortionate and another supposed Jag specialist company practises double-extortion!
