Default Run / meet event Glasgow to Fort William Sunday 22nd July

Hi all, well had a wee thought earlier about another few events, but after a recent trip I thought to myself, why not one of my favourite trips that everyone can experience?

I'm thinking of Stirling to Fort William, meeting at Stirling services as it's just so handy and travelling from there.

The plan would be to meet at 8.30am to travel to Fort William arriving around 11.30am and head for lunch to the Ben Nevis Inn at around 12pm Sunday 22nd July

It's only around 113 miles but would take around 3 hours, perhaps less on some of the most stunning roads surrounded by amazing scenery you can imagine ( subject to the weather of course )

Leave Stirling services and head for Callander and onwards through Strathyre and Lochearnhead on the A84 / A85 to Tyndrum, then Bridge of Orchy and down through Glencoe ( where the Campbells allegedly murdered the McDonalds in 1692 ) NOT guilty your honour!!

Through Glencoe and onwards down past Glencoe falls ( a particular favourite of mine ) and on to Fort William

Lunch provisionally at the Ben Nevis Inn and Bunkhouse at 12pm, then the craic / banter before heading back in reverse, where you'll see it from a totally different perspective. If conditions are right and the sun plays ball, it'll be one helluva road trip, long sweeping straights, plenty of bends and scenery to die for.

This would be a trip to enjoy the scenery, but the roads at the same time and make decent progress in places
Just a thought and an idea at present, that may come to fruition, time will tell.....

This is intended to be a no frills run / meet event, a chance to enjoy the cars , the roads and the scenery, perhaps a bit more zip to the drive in places

I may change the location of the eatery to the glen Nevis restaurant ( awaiting further discussions ) as it seems to be better for car parking facilities.
https://uk.local.yahoo.com/info-2055...-?p=restaurant

Hope to hear soon and advise.

Hi all, well had a wee thought earlier about another few events, but after a recent trip I thought to myself, why not one of my favourite trips that everyone can experience?

The run / meet is on!!
It's from Stirling to Fort William, meeting at Stirling services as it's just so handy and travelling from there.

The plan is to meet at 8.30am to travel to Fort William arriving around 11.30am and head for lunch to the Glen Nevis Inn at around 12pm Sunday 22nd July

Just around a month to go on this now, looking forward to it....

We have some good numbers at 18 cars to be fair, 20 is a nice round number though, anyone else..?
