Default Sat Nav Lost

Help me find my way, My sat nav has stopped working and the GPS display is showing crossed out on the display as in the attached pic can any one help please with a fix? 2013 XJ 351

Technical questions get more Views and Replies the MODEL forums rather than the REGION forums. I can move it if you want.

As the unit is powering up, two things to try are:
1. reset navigaton to default settings using the menu option
2. a "hard reset" but this loses all learned adaptions (fuel trims, window travel limits, radio stations etc) and puts everything back to default settings

Avoid going East from Tynemouth until you get it fixed.

Tried the option 1 still not working how do you do option 2. I never go East without my wetsuit

A "hard reset" is done by disconnecting the battery leads and touching them together for about twenty seconds to discharge all capacitors. Reconnect leads to the battery terminals and all learned adaptions are then back at the factory default settings.

A last resort if modules are out-of-sync.
