Servicing/warranty
Does anyone know if getting your XF serviced outside of the Main Dealer network affects an extended warranty? It seems to me that the fixed priced servicing is expensive with main dealers, plus when you add in that last time I was told I needed new pads and disks all round (£600+) which I declined and low and behold 16000 miles later still no low warning lights etc.
Welcome to the forum moults,
I agree with Steve that you'll have to read the small print. Jaguar warranty on a new car would be void if the vehicle was serviced outside the dealer network but it may be different for an extended warranty.
A Jaguar Dealer will always find something additional to scheduled service items they they recommend is done. That's how they increase their bottom line. If you had asked the Service Manager to tell you exactly the thickness of each of the discs and pads he would almost certainly have reversed his opinion very quickly!
