Just a brief update for you:

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - most likely to be on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar only event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, trying to get close to matching Jims last organised event :-), and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember.

There will be a convoy on the morning from Pease Pottage Services to the seafront, with us all setting up camp in one huge parking block prior to a fantastic breakfast with a sea view, and the main meet with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free raffle for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps on site for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Plus the usual Welcome Packs on the day with free samples, info etc etc.

This thread will only be updated every now and again with the progress of things until closer to the date, so you can dip in and check on things if you want, but it doesn't pop up every time you logon.

If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. We already have the makings of a fantastic day, with Welcome Packs containing info, offers, samples and a range of goodies for you to check out, our prize draw so far is set to be the biggest to-date thanks to superb support from our sponsors for which I thank them - some really great prizes! We have an event support vehicle, an official event photographer with fantastic car event credentials.. and as we go things are going to get even bigger, and better this time.

Doing a sterling job there Steve, all the advertising, media coverage and sponsors that you have on board, say a thank you to Mrs Steve for letting you devote the time to organise this meeting.

 

Thankyou for that.. Unfortunately Mrs S had thought that if I halve the number of meets per year it would halve the time I spent on things.. hasn't quite worked out that
way, but instead has given me way more time between meets to try to get things organised a little better:-)

I am trying to make our event as complete as I can with sponsorship from a wide range of services/products we all need and use, through to the reps onsite to quiz, accommodation deals for anyone making a weekend of it, a bigger prize draw and so on.. I am getting there, but still quite a way to go trying to get everything that I would like to be available to you guys. As always only about 50% of what I try to do is making it through but so far - so good :-)

One plus this year that I haven't mentioned to-date, is I have finally managed to get a Brighton Argus reporter interested in our event.. and she has agreed to see what she can do for us nearer the time - I am hoping we can get our events story in the paper this time - only taken us 2 & 1/2 years to manage this lol

I am pleased to say that across the three forums carrying this thread currently we have now had over 10,000 hits! Which is an incredible degree of interest for which I can only thank you guys.

We have some months to go, and as the weeks clock by I am hoping to get everything pulled together, and for more people to sign up to attend making it our biggest and best Brighton Convoy & Meet to-date. For it to become the 'Showstopper' that puts our event firmly and permanently in the Brighton Car Event Calendar.

I am hoping for some news on the accommodation front this week, along with hopefully good news about our VisitBrighton entry, and the latest sponsorship info for you.. so please keep an eye on this space, and if you are wondering whether to sign up or not, just sign up, please - there is absolutely no cost to this event apart for the parking and fixed price breakfast costs on the day (and I will advise you of exactly what those costs are nearer the time as I don't want anyone not knowing what they need to budget for the day).

Just a brief update for you:

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - most likely to be on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar only event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, trying to get close to matching Jims last organised event :-), and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember.

There will be a convoy on the morning from Pease Pottage Services to the seafront, with us all setting up camp in one huge parking block prior to a fantastic breakfast with a sea view, and the main meet with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free raffle for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps (see Industry Attendees list below to see who will have reps onsite) for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Plus the usual Welcome Packs on the day with free samples, info etc etc.

This thread will only be updated every now and again with the progress of things until closer to the date, so you can dip in and check on things if you want, but it doesn't pop up every time you logon.

If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. If you prefer, you are also very welcome to drop a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk :-)
