Juat a very quick update for you - I have just come out of discussions with a potential new sponsor for our event. They produce a unique luxury accessory for Jaguar owners which I think would fit in well with our event. I have covered what we can offer in exchange for sponsorship and they are now considering my offer :-) As always, I will let you guys know of any developments - it would be great to be able to work with these guys, but only a percentage of what I progress over time makes it through though :-(
Welcome to our Eighth JaguarForumsUK Convoy & Meet event!

It's Friday and time to update you with the news, and stats for our free Jaguar day out this late May Bank Holiday.
This will likely be my last update prior to the actual day as this weekend and next I will be pretty busy trying to make sure everything is under control :-)
This week has been quite busy here - we now have over 2500 items for the Welcome Packs, our website has kicked off it's review section, our free web site hosting package allows for a few images, so our website is starting to up it's game, we have even more Jaguars signed up than ever, and I have just signed up a new sponsor for our 2020 event :-) Also I am still working on another potential sponsor, and of course our 2020 event has already been kicked off with sponsors and attendees starting to sign up :-)
Places are vanishing quite quickly for this years event, so if you want to sign up please do do sooner rather than later.

..... I now have sealed boxes in the shed, in the downstairs hall, in the conservatory, and even at the top of the stairs. Welcome Pack items, and prizes for the prize draw pretty much everywhere .....
Mrs S. must be a remarkably understanding woman!
I hope the weather begins to dry up and warm up as it approaches the big day.
Incredibly so, as we are running out of house, and have a lot of items to pack this weekend (2,500 items into 160 Welcome Packs). Things are somewhat stressed (as always at this point) but so far I haven't been banished to sleep in the Jag :-) which is a plus :-)
The long range weather forecast is for 20 degrees and cloudy for the day (currently) and I'll hapilly take that.
We have had one quite big sponsor drop off the radar before fulfilling their pledged prize draw item in exchange for advertising, but other than that yes, it's been incredible - we are down to very limited places available, we have a much more complex main venue layout organised to guarantee no one is ever more then 5 metres from everything on the day, the discounts for food/drink are organised just needing triple checking next week, and I am on the home run with things.
We have a new sponsor coming onboard for our 2020 event that fills a sector that no one else involved with the event currently covers, I am working on a potential sponsor that supplies a very unique luxury accessory for Jaguar owners, and I am already working on our European Jag owners and clubs to start increasing their involvement with the event :-)
160 Jaguars this year, 200 next and then 300 for the 10th event - the anniversary event - that's my three year plan.. so far so good thanks to the incredible support of everyone connected with our event.. as I said it's incredible, and so so thankful for everyones support as without everyones support there is no way I could manage this, absolutely no way.

Pulled a late nighter last night and 3200 items packed, with another 600 or so to pack today.. definitely misjudged how big these Welcome Packs are this year :-)

Our event is easy to sign up for and most importantly FREE! You can sign up by posting on one of our forum threads, our Facebook page (JaguarForumsUK), our Twitter account (@JFBrightonMeets), our Instagram account JaguarForumsUK, the Contact Us page at www.solidlinux.co.uk, or even good old fashioned email (JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk) - we just need your name, Jaguar model, year of manufacture, and how many people will likely be travelling.

Martyn East is local to me and has offered to assist with getting all your Welcome Packs and Prizes to the venues - huge thanks to him for this, as I have absolutely no chance of getting everything onboard with my S-Type now that the Welcome Packs have grown as much as they have :-)
We are down to just twelve days to go with just 14 places still available - so if you don't want to miss this years free event, please sign up quickly to be in with a chance.
I know it is a way off yet, but don't forget to pencil our Christmas competition for attendees into your diary - I have already started enquiring with our sponsors regarding this, & it should be launched in November.
Additionally, if you like our event this year please consider signing up for our 2020 event - more Jaguars, more features, and I am working on more stands and club involvement too for us! It is already open for advance signups by both attendees and sponsors & should be a great Jaguar day out for you :-)
.
Just 11 days to go until our 2019 event and very limited places still available!
One day I will surprise everyone and say nothing is currently happening regarding our event - however this is not that day :-) (blah)
We are down to just 14 places still available - it would be great if we could fill those last places so if you are still considering signing up for our event, please sign up - we have a great day out for you, and would love it if you could come along and join us on the day.
As you all know we have a three year plan for our event, with this year 160 Jaguars, next year 200, and then 300 for our anniversary event in 2021 - drawing in Jaguars from Europe as well as the UK.
Part of this plan is affiliating our event with Jaguar clubs in both the UK and Europe, encouraging clubs and individuals from both the UK and Europe to get more involved with us, making our event even more of a win-win for both Jaguar owners and specialist companies that we trust. We are looking to increase the number of clubs attending our event, giving attendees the full range of support they need to look after and maintain their Jaguars.
Our event will retain it's grassroots vibe, with Jaguars not only welcome from any background or walk of life, but all considered equal - without any elitism.., the event will always be free to sign up for and attend, non profit, and there to connect everyone with everything they need whilst giving you a great Jaguar day out.
As I pull things together I will of course keep everyone in the loop..
Currently I am in the process of getting in touch with the clubs/forums that we already work with, and will be formally making contact with two European clubs later this week, early next week...
Please keep an eye on our forum threads, Facebook page and of course our event website for the latest as we go, and if you are a club or forum interested in what we are doing please just get in touch :-)
Meanwhile though if you have signed up for this years event you have a great day ahead of you this May bank holiday, & if you haven't signed up yet.. why not give us a go? :-) We have a great (free :-)) Jaguar day out for you.

Less than one and a half weeks to go now.. and it is confirmed that there will definitely be a prize for the Quiz module on the day.. so don't forget to read up about the history of Jaguar from 1920 - 2004 before the day itself... :-)
Welcome to our Eighth JaguarForumsUK Convoy & Meet event!
This will be our sixth year of running this event, and is genuinely the biggest, most feature packed event we will have ever run.
Our event is a great Jaguar day out for you, your Jaguar, and your family, with a convoy element, as well as main one day event - including:
Free Welcome packs

Clubs and Forums are now participating too.

A quiz to test your knowledge of Jaguar history and trivia (spanning 1920 - 2004), finding our most knowledgeable attendee
A great prize draw (the largest prize fund to-date) with prizes ranging from must-haves to incredible treats for you or your Jaguar
Add to this a convoy/drive through glorious Sussex and Surrey countryside, a superb venue at Denbies Wine Estate (the largest wine estate in England), great Jaguars spanning all walks of life, incredible company and you have our event. And not just all this, but Denbies have a range of award winning wines you can buy and take home with you, plus a carvery restaurant with great food and drink to keep you going through the day.

Please feel free to take a look at our previous events to see what to expect, and what attendees thought of our event - we have a great Jaguar day out for you, and would love to welcome you to our 2019 event :-)

Every time I take a day off from our event, I end up playing catchup and today has been no different. I am getting there, but will likely be chipping away at things through the weekend to make sure I am ready for all the last minute bits next week.
We are now down to just 13 places available so if you are considering our event please sign up before these last few places have gone.

I have some new leads on clubs that are potentially interested in our 2020 & 2021 events and will be in contact with them either over the weekend or early next week when I am back on top of everything.I will also update everyone regarding the affiliations that we are looking to set up, as soon as I have more information for you - again it is on my list - I just have to get that far down the list
