I am really happy to be able to announce that our annual Christmas competition is back :-)

We have THREE prizes on offer this year, to give three people a fantastic Jaguar Christmas with guaranteed delivery of their prizes in time for the big day.

If you register for our next event before the end of November 2019 you will be automatically entered into this years competition for a Christmas hamper of car care goodies from Robornes, and two 2 bucket wash systems from Scratchshield.

All the entry details, pics, and more can be found under the 'Competition' tab at our event website at JaguarForumsUK - The Great British Day Out for Jaguar Owners.

The competition closes at the end of November, and winners will be announced in the first week of December, to ensure everything arrives in time for Christmas.

Lastly just a few t&c's - The organisers decision (that's me:-)) is final, & there is no cash alternative to these prizes.

Ok Guys,
One other item of news for you (and yep this is before our Friday Stats day :-)) is that one of our incredible sponsors - Scratchshield are offering event attendees a fantastic 20% discount on their entire product range!
I have used this system for years now, and swear by it as it forces me to split the wash and rinse, allows me to have buckets specifically for car washing, are just large enough to wash both the S-Type and C1, can be used as seats, *and* they filter the water really cutting back on the scratches I used to get - I genuinely recommend them based on experience! Just visit them at www.scratchshield.co.uk and use the discount code JAGXMAS19 at checkout. Please note that this offer is valid until 31st December 2019.
Happy Christmas everyone :-)

Hi Guys,

It is that time of the week already, and our annual event has had another busy week here.

Our discounted accomodation deal for attendees travelling some distance has been proving popular, and as a result we have had to request additional rooms to be made available for us.

We have received more signups, which is fantastic - including a Project 7 & a Project 8 now signed up for our next event.

We have also officially launched our Christmas competition where you could win one of two wash systems from Scratchshield, or a car care hamper from Robornes.

On top of all this we also now have a great Christmas discount for you from Scratchshield giving you an incredible 20% off their entire product range.. to take advantage of this great offer (exclusive to JaguarForumsUK attendees) just go to their website at www.scratchshield.co.uk and use the code JAGXMAS19.

Our event patron Frank Woodford MBE has asked if our attendees can help him out regarding rear passenger mats for Jaguars. If anyone is happy to supply Frank with paper or card templates of their rear passenger mats, please contact him directly as this will help him to increase the range of Jaguars he can supply his luxury sheepskin mats for.

And, finally we are currently in discussions with two additional potential sponsors :-)

It's been a busy week :-)

Here are the stats for this week for everyone:

Our Facebook page has 4,954 friends
Our Facebook group is growing, and now has 732 members
Our Instagram feed has grown to 530 followers
Our Twitter feed is steady at 617 followers
We have 44 Jaguars and 82 attendees registered for our next event
We have 2 club allocated areas so far
We have 18 official sponsors and are in talks with two more potential sponsors
We have 8 Trade stands booked so far
We have 3 Club/Forum stands booked with us so far
We have 5 awards, you can win on the day, confirmed

Don't forget if you register for our event before the end of November you will be in with a chance at one of three great prizes being delivered to your home in time for Christmas, and if you want to treat your Jaguar this Christmas you can use the discount code from Scratchshield right through to the end of December this year.

Hi Guys,

It is Friday! Thank goodness.. it has been one of those weeks here :-(

But we have made it to Friday and we have two whole Jaguar days ahead of us before Monday!

Things have been quite busy regarding our event...

Our next event has more people signed up for it at this point that ever before which is fantastic.

Our annual Christmas competition closes to entries at the end of November - if you register for our next event before the end of November you get to enter it FREE. You can win one of three prizes this year donated by Robornes & Scratchshield! Well worth getting entered into :-)

As you are aware we are working on the event infrastructure this year (yep, finally moving the event up a notch - well overdue you will say lol) and we have the banners for the roundabout and main entrance, and High Vis Vests through already (to ensure you can find the event on the day, and a member of the team there to look after you :-)) and are currently pooling registrations so we can also obtain signage for the route into the event, through Denbies itself, and hopefully not just the printing costs for your Welcome Packs, but also some very select and classic car stickers for you guys to get on the day. Please note any donations towards everything we are doing are very welcome, and of course a percentage of all our event income goes to support the RNLI too :-)

Our Facebook group is still growing, and is well worth hooking into not just for the event news but also Jaguar news, chat and more. Additionally our Instagram feed is not only well worth following if you want a more gentle feed about the event, but is growing too, and with quite a wide audience.

This week there has been quite a shift too, in the countries that our website visitors are from.. here is the list in order of numbers of visitors for this week:

United Kingdom
Germany
United States
Bahrain
Austria

Our event is genuinely global it would seem :-)

Ok, enough preamble for you all, here are this weeks Stats so you know where we are with things:

Our forum threads are heading to new record numbers with a combined 14,000 hits against this events' threads :-)
We have 48 Jaguars signed up, and 89 attendees so far
We have 18 incredible sponsors
We have added a discount code for Christmas.. take a look on our event website for the details :-)
We have 8 Trade Stands reserved so far
We have 3 Club/Forums stands booked
We have two club allocation areas that are growing
We have five confirmed awards for the day, with more to come
Our Twitter feed is remaining steady at 616 followers
Our Instagram feed is proving popular and now has 541 followers which is great

Finally, our Christmas competition just has 8 more days until it closes for entries so please consider registering for our event before the end of November and you could win a great prize from Santa :-)

And finally after the final bit.. please yhave an incredible Jaguar weekend there!

It's Friday! And this week has just gone so fast..

Historically this is the quietest time of the year for events, but when has our event ever been your typical event? :-)

Ok we not only have the Bag-World discount code in place for those of you considering getting some gorgeous bespoke luggage for your Jaguar, but we also have a Christmas exclusive discount in place for those of you struggling to keep your Jaguar clean in all this wet weather, courtesy of Scratchshield - a company I swear by, having used their wash system on all my Jaguars (and the C1 school run car) for years now. So if you want some time away and need luggage, and a clean Jaguar - we have you covered :-)

The number of attendees signed up for our next, biggest ever event, is still steadily growing which is absolutely fantastic, and if you look at our event website at JaguarForumsUK - The Great British Day Out for Jaguar Owners you can even get a Black Friday deal, all weekend, on registration.

Our Christmas competition giving you the chance to win one of two Scratchshield wash systems or a Robornes Car Care Hamper, closes to entries this weekend - and if you register for our next event you will be entered into it free.. giving your Jaguar a chance at it's own present from Santa :-)

Our 2020 Gallery is growing but we are still missing a few piccies.. if you haven't sent in a piccie, and a few details of your Jaguar yet, please, please consider doing so as it is great if everyone can see what Jaguars they can meet on the day, before the day.. another way in which our event is different to most :-) If you have one of the following Access Passes, you haven't popped a picture across yet 002, 004, 009, 010, 012, 017, 029, 032, 034, 036, 041, 042, 045, 047, & 049.. just email any pics and descriptive text to gallery@jaguarforumsuk.com and I will get them popped up in our gallery.

Finally, I have just received official notification the the JEC (East & West Sussex) will be running a club stand on the day as well as a club allocation area, which is great news.

And the very final reminder for you... Please remember our Christmas competition closes this weekend :-)

Ok here are the stat's you have been waiting patiently for, likely trying to stay awake through the text above :-)

Our forum threads have amassed an incredible 14,828 hits so far
Our Twitter feed is stable with 617 followers
Our Instagram feed is still growing with 554 followers now
We have 50 Jaguars registered for our next event and 92 attendees
We have 18 official sponsors
We have 5 awards confirmed so far with more to come
We have 8 Trade stands booked
We have 4 club/forum stands booked

Have an incredible Jaguar weekend Guys :-)

OK Guys, I am not around tomorrow for our usual Friday Stats day, so I am running things past everyone a day early this week..

Welcome to a stats Thursday (yep, definitely does not have the same ring to it.. sigh) :-)

This week, there has been quite a bit going on regarding our event, disproving the theory that Christmas time is a dead period for Jaguar events :-)

We ran a Black Friday promotion, which a few attendees took advantage of so will definitely be running it again next year for everyone.

Our Christmas competition drew to a close. We had three incredible prizes consisting of 2 x Scratchshield Two-bucket wash systems, and 1 x Robornes Car Care Hamper up for grabs and they were won by Jane Weitzmann, Stephen Haynes, and Farhad Alerasoul - huge congratulations to all three of them, and I hope they enjoy their deliveries from Santa :-)

We already have more people signed up for our next event than ever before for this time of year! Plus we already have a Project 7, a Project 8, and an XJ220 signed up with us which is fantastic.

I have also been persuaded to start introducing our event to key people that are either in Jaguar, or have been in the past, to see if I can locate any of the rarer or more unusual Jaguars, or garner support for our event.. I am somewhat nervous of doing this, as I still do not see our event as being that big, or well known yet, but have started making enquiries and will let you all know if we do get any feedback. Equally if you have any contacts within Jaguar that you think we should be in contact with please let me know and I will follow up on things.

Things regarding our event should start to quieten down a little over the Christmas period, allowing me a little more family time, but will then pick up in January as I make a start on locating another 250 Jaguars to join us on the day lol.. I know, big plans (as always) but with the help of everyone involved with our event I am sure we can manage it. Our event registration process, and marshalling methods have all been updated for our next event, we have improved signage, and are working on a host of background infrastructure to make sure that you have the best ever grassroots Jaguar day out :-)

Hi Guys,

Welcome to this weeks mini quiz.. Peter Simpson has excelled himself this week with questions themed on Jaguar Prototypes - a massive Thankyou to him!
I have tried them myself and did not get even one right lol - so if you manage one right or better this week you are way more knowledgeable about Jaguar than me :-)

A. Paris B. Detroit C. NEC Birmingham

2. The XJ41/42 were potential replacements for the XJ-S and fitted with a highly modified AJ16 turbocharged engine. They did not make it into production but what was their estimated top speed?
A. 160mph B. 170mph C. 180mph

3. In 1994 Jaguar SVO built a V12 XJ40 Coupé concept car. Compared to the saloon car its wheelbase was?
A. Longer B. Shorter C. The same

The answers will be posted Tuesday or possibly Wednesday this week - GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

Here are the answers to this weeks quiz.. if you got one or more right you did far, far better than me :-)

1. The XK180 was revealed in October 1998 at which Motor Show?
A. Paris

Did you know: The car at Paris was right-hand drive and then a second was shown at Detroit three months later in left-hand drive

2. The XJ41/42 were potential replacements for the XJ-S and fitted with a highly modified AJ16 turbocharged engine. They did not make it into production but what was their estimated top speed?
A. 160mph

Did you know: The project was cancelled by Ford shortly after they took over Jaguar in 1989 mostly due to weight increases during the development of the cars.

3. In 1994 Jaguar SVO built a V12 XJ40 Coupé concept car. Compared to the saloon car its wheelbase was?
B. Shorter

Did you know: Unlike the XJ Series 2 Coupé that came before it, this car did not have pillarless windows.

The XJ41 design concept being shown to Sir William Lyons (centre) at his home, Wappenbury Hall:

It had many design cues subsequently adopted for the XK8 and a tailgate like the later XK.

I have never seen the XJ41, or that picture Graham, thankyou for sharing it... you really can see the design ideas that made it into later models - and it's great to see a Jaguar model I have never seen before..
