Not sure if this is already anywhere else on the forum but can't see any recent discussion. There's a Classic European Car show the last week-end of September in Winston-Salem, NC.... and the featured marque is.... JAGUAR!!

Car show / display is on Saturday. There are events throughout the week-end. $30 to register (does not incl. ALL events, but gets you to display the car at least) if check mailed before 9/18. $35 at the gate if not pre-registered.

I did not know about this event. Maybe you will not be the only Jag there after all..

 

Looking at going but have to work around my sons Baseball games.

 

I have signed up. At least there will be two Jags!

 

What days are people going? I think I can only make Sunday, will anyone else be there that day.

 

I might take a jaunt up, no Jag though.

 

i might try to get up saturday after lunch. i have a soccer game in the am. i may do the VIR trip sunday. will any of you? ive took my bike to VIR before but never a car. would love to get the X out on the track

 

most def gonna be there sunday morning. did anybody go to car show on sat. local car show was canceled here so i didnt drive up. heres my car if you see me give a shout ill be there with my son

 

Car looks really nice, I was thinking of going but will be looking at the weather. Your X has a Mina exhaust how do you find the sound? I am looking at the Mina as a possible for the XJR but I don't know if the sound will be aggressive enough for what I want, I would like the XJ to sound like my wife's XK at least. If I do get there I will look you up and say hello.

 

Norri, I am sorry I had been meaning to call you about the jaunt up this weekend. It has been a very busy week. I would hop in Joyces Jag now but it would take you to long to get here then get there . Or would it?

thnx glad you guys like the X. made to the BMW lot just in time to go to VIR. was a great ride through the country. was 1 other jag conv. xk. was about 20 or so drivers that went. i took some pics ill post in sights and sounds. i also made a video of 2 laps around VIR. ill see if i can get it uploaded. not much of a pc guy so i dont know how the video will go. its a 9min video. as for the exhaust there is a difference that is noticeable between stock and mina. but most noticeable difference was when i added the cold air intake. you hear more around 4500rpm here is a clip of both stock and mina sounds. ill get a vid of mina with cold air intake soon as i can.

Good seeing some fellow Jag owners on saturday. And others of course (but hey, this is a Jag forum so it's all about us). Even though poor weather, I am very happy I made it :-) (2h drive from Cary, under lightning, storms and rain). Some pics (of the Jags) attached.

did the green xk have a plate that said (APANTHER) if so they were the only other jag in the ride to VIR besides me. was mostly bmws, a lotus, and 2 jags plus a few others
