YAYYYYYY AFTER ALMOST 2 WEEKS LET ME TRY THIS NOW!

Before the May meet, I proposed a July meeting in Orlando area and wanted to see who would be interested in attending that?

I was thinking Saturday, the 26th. I def prefer the 26th! I figured Orlando would be good for the West and North Florida people like myself as well as not too far for the South Florida people. Also, it seems we have quite a bit of members that actually live in Orlando ( 5 or 6 if I can recall).

Per Phil's idea I contacted Allyson at Luxautica Exotic Car Club At Millenia in regards to hosting our event. She seems to be very excited about it so most likely we will be having it there. You can view there website at www.luxautica.com

Meet around 2-5 for a while, possibly even have a lunch before somewhere nearby? It would also give others time to drive there and also be able to leave at a reasonable time to not get home too late. I personally would probably get a hotel for the night, go out and then do the theme park thing the next day. Anyone doing the same is more then welcome to join me the next day at most likely Disney.

For those also wanting a hotel for the night I checked and several very nice hotels, the renaissance, the peabody, jw marriott, hyatt grand cypress, and the bohemian all had rates between $150-$200 for the night.

I wanted to get this going ASAP because some people plan far out for there weekends. I know of course the first weekend is July 4th, and the second weekend Ill be in Atlanta.

Ah man! I wish I was still there, I'm out doing research for the summer now!!!! I'd have definitely gone.

Thanks for the note. We used to use Race Rock on I drive for the Vette meets but alas its closed down. You might want to email Luxautica at the Millenia Mall. They have a good sized car park and great cars including a Veyron there. Nearly joined as a social member but Im spening more time in Naples now on business. Failing that, let me know where and when and I will be there. Thanks.....

 

Hey Phil, glad you got it. I've been to race rock and nearby restraunts for BMW meets in the past also. Lux. was a great idea, I went ahead and emailed Allyson over there to see fi they would be willing to host our event. will be sure to let you knwo when i get an answer back.

I'll definitly be going, I live down the road from luxautica. I just went to Luxautica for a job interview a couple weeks ago, it would bea really awesome placeto have a meet and all theexotic cars are there because they dont have alot of members yet.

 

great, hopefully everythign continues to work out with them I PMed biggie about helping to organize it since he did the last one as well as FJT with providing tech help like the boca meet. I also emailed the local chapter of the Jaguar club and invited them as well, i figured the more the marrier.

Ok guys its official! Allyson at Luxautica called and said they agreed to host the event, normally they charge $10-$20k to host an event but are comping it for us! I made a flyer and posted it on the first page, Come on people, you gotta make it!

 

745on19's...I'm in. I'm sorry for the SUPER late reply to your pm's, as I was in a pretty bad bike accident a couple of weeks ago and the recovery has been slow. I'll be more than ready by the 26th of July. Hope many more will make it, but surely I will. This time, I'll make it in the jag too. LOL! Good thing it's saturday too, because the 27th I have a baby shower.

 

Sorry for the late response. I will be up in Orlando anyway from 25th to 27th. Daughters birthday 24th. I will definitely be there.
Gotta ask this though....lol....is there a dress code at the Luxautica?
We, by the way are staying at Ginn Re Resort. We normally stay at the Peabody....which I highly recommend. Just trying the other one for a change. Gonna be back up around Christmas at Peabody.

I was hoping you might be able to see if people want to organize a lunch before nearby or something? FJT glad you are going to make it too, good coincidence you will already be in the area I am leaning towards teh JW Marriott right now, peabody is sold out and renaissance & hyatt i heard are kinda over-rated. The dress code thing si a good question for sure, allyson didnt mention anything but she is mailing me out a packet she said. Im guessing resort casual is fine, like ill prob wear my usual khaki shorts n polo with sperrys or something like that. Ill keep you guys posted as I learn more...FJT do you mind bringing your scanner and all?

Man I wish I could come!!!! I'll be in AL till July 30-August 2 time though- and after that I'm doing an internship in VA. Gotta make money to fund the baby. [8D]

 

I totally understand I was sad i couldnt make the Boca meet- what kind of internship are you doing?
