Default Looking to rebuild Transmission

I have a 2001 XJ8 with approx. 107,000 Miles logged in. When it would not go into Reverse, I ended up having the trans taken apart to find the problem. After inquiring on the Jaguar Forum, and seeing where others had the same problem, the failed part turned out to be in the "A" Drum.

To keep a long story short, lost confidence in shop that it was taken to, and I am currently looking for a shop in the Hampton Roads Virginia area (Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Hampton) that specializes on rebuilding the ZF transmission. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Brown, I used to live in Norfolk a few years ago. What I would tell you to do is to run over to the intersection of Military Highway and Little Creek. There is a European car parts place there. Walk in and tell them what you are looking to do. They should know the name of a few good shops in the area to do exactly what you are wanting. I don't recall what the name of the place was, but looking on Yellowpages.com, it would appear to be a NAPA store now. But, they may know where the store went to. The NAPA is at 1307 E Little Creek Road.

Ok, a little more looking. The name of the store is Bap Geon. It is at 1300 East Little Creek. I used to go to them all the time when I needed stuff. Good guys when I was there. I would start there and see what they say. Worst case, you can ask them "if you had your transmission rebuilt locally, who would you go to?". see what they say.
