Angry Stolen s-type virginia

Hi Jag friends--I haven't been in in awhile, but I wanted to put the word out that my 2005 S-Type (silver) has been stolen-- it is believed to be headed west towards Arizona with two young Caucasians.
I have filed all the appropriate reports but wanted to put the word out-- if you see a silver S-Type with Virginia tag: GOKTYGO please contact your local law enforcement.

Thank you!
Kitty

Kitty, I find it rather interesting that you know who stole the car and where it is going (kinda). Would it be that your son and one of his friends are going cross country for a final trip? Just thinking. Granted, if your car has really been stolen, if it was my car and I found out who it was, then I have a feeling that I would be in jail and well, I won't say what they would endure.

You've got it head-on Thermo. Kid is in juvenile detention - thankfully didn't hurt or kill anyone - state police are still looking for the car- the boys say they pushed it into a ravine and watched it smash up- I figured they'd do something like that- they made it as far as I figured they would based on the gas in the tank (60 miles from full) I suppose I'll have to do the mapping for law enforcement, just like I ran everything else down- very little support when your own kid steals your car..
I'm still pissed off.

Kitty, well, there are worst things in life. He will live and learn and the big trick is how you treat it from here. Personally, I would make sure he figures out the cost of his actions both monetarily and legally. You make it something he doesn't want to endure again, he will be a better person in the long run. It may be a hard road now, but it will save you lots of times like this later on. Been down this road with my youngest. Should have heard his voice when he wanted me to bail him out and I told him to get comfy as he was going to have a long night in jail. He didn't like the answer, but years later, he understands why I did it. If you need some help, let me know. Hopefully being where he is at the moment, he may realize that his life is not as bad as what he thinks it is and that others have it much worse. Granted, a statement to the effect of "you are where you are not because of what you did, but because of what I may do to you if you are back with me" make a pretty big impression.

If you need someone to vent to, let me know. Sometimes just letting the frustration out helps a lot.

Well, they found her. The little jerks deliberately drove her to the top of a mountain in Pulaski, Va and "with deliberate malice" pushed. She went down over 300 yards, the wrecker couldn't even reach.
They will both be prosecuted to the fullest extent.

Well, because he is a spoiled and entitled *** I suppose. Military school was $35,000 a year I don't have. But it's a non-issue now.

Anyone know a decently priced S-type for sale?

Here are some that are local to you. Not sure how much you are wanting to spend. But, all of these are probably in the price that you are going to get from the insurance company. Let me know and I will see what I can do to help you out.

They were old enough to know better. Did they give you any idea what they were thinking? Or were they not thinking? That was always the question I would ask mine.

Kitty, keep an eye out. There were more on Autotrader and you can do some looking. Granted, might be time to step up to say an XJ or the like. The price difference between the S-Type and the XJ is not that much different and would probably give you a little bit more in the way of comfort.

There's a few more to tempt your pallet with. Worst case, plan a trip up to Leonardtown to see family and then we can see what we can find in the area. I know there are all sorts of cars like what you are after up in this area.

Kitty, in case you are curious, there is an 02 S-Type sitting out on the side of the road up near me. They are asking $4000 for it and it has 140K miles on it. It is equipped with the 3.0L motor. I see 1 downside to it in that it has a salvaged title (ie, was involved in a serious accident and someone brought it back). They didn't do too bad of a job, but the trunk is still a little tweaked. It is black on black. The rear of the car has the clear coat peeling off too. Thought you might be itnerested. I figure if you walk up with say $3000 cash, he will let the car go. But, that is up to you. NOt sure if you are after something quite that old.

Ouch! sorry to hear about your incident. Very sad to see a Jag in that condition.
There's a nice white 2008 Jag S-Type on craigslist with very low mileage but not discounted much. 2008 Jaguar S-Type 4.2.
I'd pick up a XF 2010 for a slight bit more, though I'm partial to the S-Type look.

This also maybe a good deal: 2005 Jaguar S-Type (Price is negotiable)
Lower mileage, but may have an electrical issue. However for replacing alternator and battery can be pretty inexpensive. (less than a $400)
Good luck,

Sounds like a nasty predicament to be in...not sure how I would react.... Might but him in the boot of the car and send it back down the slope.....

Good Luck..... Hope all works out for you guys.
