A little bit Northwest of you, but I've taken my XK8 to Fra and Sons. Seems to be knowledgeable on the Jag and reasonably priced compared to a dealership.

I see I'm very late to this thread.
After struggling for very long time myself with an odd issue on my own Jag and having two "pros" either throw up their hands or make what even I knew was the wrong diagnosis I happened past Imports Unlimited in Highland Park.
Ted diagnosed the issue in minutes* and repaired it for the $118 diagnostic fee. They had ample opportunity to cheat me but did not.
* The transmission shop who overhauled mine had reconnected the downstream O2 sensors, exchanged them left for right.
The trans shop, AC transmission in Addison made good and reimbursed me for my expense, even after the car had sat for a year due to(my) illness.
Two good experiences.
