A/C Imports in Palatine has their own body shop and they did a great job repainting the roof on my car. I little on the expensive side though.

I had a bad experience with AC imports on some warranty work and would not recommend that place to anyone... I did find a place in SChaumburg called Ultimate Collision which got pretty good reviews...

I just got my XJ back from A/C Imports. It ended up there after my wife got into a fender bender. I took it to a local Minneapolis body shop, but they wouldn't do the job because of the aluminum body/ frame. Jaguar intervened and sent the vehicle to A/C Imports. After a real hassle (they wouldn't take a credit card number for my insurance deductible), I got the car back after 6 weeks. The bill was over $17,000 and the car was atrocious. Orange peel and debris under the paint, crooked assembly of body panels, I was appalled. Luckily, they delivered the car back to my local dealership. They were with me when I inspected the work and agreed with my assessment.

I also had a terrible experience with A/C Imports of Palatine, I have attached a picture of the x type fender color difference, They agreed to take it back the first time for the hood being a totally different paint color when I went in for a minor accident repair, but the fender they said will take time to adjust the color?! I just laughed and told them I'd rather bring it to a better body shop with more experience, then fight with them and then he assured me their "state of the art " color matching and body shop is top notch, and that the color is the same, I then shook my head n left. I'd rather pay for a decent job then have to fix their paint again.

The guys at the service desk had the worst attitude when you bring in your car under warranty (seems like they hate warranty service), let alone when they slip up, seems like their job is to make sure you'll never go back there.

I now travel to Orloff for maintence (extra 15 mins), place is much more professional, always staff with a smile walking around, asking if you need anything. While at A/C imports for service (previous to the last straw) I saw that place is a ghost town staff is uninviting, let alone the waiting room is the last place you want to wait, and the last place I would buy another Jag. They lost my sister's sale for the new XF.

I will take one more pic if the sun comes out (fender is waay Darker than the body), then everybody in the neighborhood says "hey your fender's a different color" lol.
