Oh NO! From recent experience with our van, you may want to first call your insurance agent to see if they have a recommended shop. That can streamline the process. Depending if the gash can be repaired or if the panel needs to be replaced, you could be looking at some bucks. It may have to go to a dealer. And I suppose, if insurance is paying for it, that may be best...
