Default Coolant Hose underneath Supercharger

Just purchased my first Jag, 05 S Type R, 55k miles. I been reading on forum about the coolant hose under supercharger. Lots of horror stories about failure and potential engine damage. Based on everything i’ve read, not an easy job as supercharger and several parts have to come off? Should I do the job as preventive maintenance? I’m not a professional mechanic but pretty handy under the hood. Something i could undertake or leave to professionals?

TECHNICAL questions are best posted in the relevant MODEL forum. That way the whole World sees it and not just members in US Midwest.

The REGION forums are the place to discuss meets, recommended specialists, part sources and that kind of geographically specific topics.
