Awesome, i have a feeling the nxt attempt meet will be a great one. Im sorta scared to organize a meet right now for the miscommincation i had with fab and count. Sorry again =(. But we will work 2gether and make a date and time..

I even had a few Jag gifts i was going to give out for the meet on Sun =(

We had a drive last weekend. One thing we do is get everybody's cell phone #'s we drove 250 miles round trip. got nine cars and sixteen people. I'm in western Illinois and would be willing to meet up with everybody. When we do this we try to have people hook up on the drive in. Good Luck for the next meet.

 

Hef - such a shame it all went a little pear shaped, but hopefully better organised by all next time.
Swapping of mobile numbers for texting / calling is probably a wise move.......looking forward to you guys getting it together and seeing some pics!

The idea of getting together on the road if possible is excellent....a nice convoy!

We did this at the last Audi meet I went to, 70+ cars showed up and we had a convoy of around 16 on the way.....great day out

@ Jim, yes hopfully tyhe next meet is more organized. I should have took cell numbers earlier. I sorta asked 3 days b4 the meet. But earlier the better.

I forgot my camera, typical, I remembered it about forty miles out, but I will get our VP to send me his, and get them posted.

 

How about we meet up in Rockford and then cruise up to New Glaurus Wisconsin and hit up the Brewery there? There are some great roads and great scenery in that part of Wisconsin (green county) and I've been wanting to get my car out there to enjoy them.

 

I'll see how well I upload the pictures, This is from our drive to Balltown Iowa there is only one car we didn't get in the photos, he caught up with us later, an MGB. Altogether we had nine cars and sixteen people The trip was about 250 miles round trip. The photos were shot at Eagle Point Park, Clinton Iowa, over looking the Mississippi. This is the widest point of the river. They refer to it as Lake Clinton. We took the river road up the Iowa side and back down the Illinois side. It was a great day.

This sounds fine We would participate and probably a friend with a lotus would like to also. We do have some events over the next couple of months. Our British car club is having its 24th annual Car show on the 6th and 7th of August. We'll have a short drive Saturday afternoon to Orion Ill. for dinner at the Factory restaurant. Also that weekend is the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival in Davenport, Iowa So there will be great entertainment. Our show is on Sunday in the Village of East Davenport, Plenty of quaint shops, three casinos with in ten miles of each other, and good food. Our club would like to extend a invitation to all. I've listed the web sites below This will be a busy weekend in town so I don't know the availability of Motel and Hotel rooms.

I can make it..I am way west in the fox valley area.

I know that there is a food joint called "Goodies" in St.Charles/Geneva, on rte 38, that host hot rod/classic cars in there lots on Sundays, I think, in the summer. (Goolge it if interested exactly where) I've stopped by a few- very informal but a lot of cars tend to show up.(est 10-20) If there is enough interest I could inquire- not sure how much of a travel it would be for folks but would be glad to dig into it if there is enough interest.
