Just recently purchased a very nice, low-mileage 2004 XJR. However, I am uncertain yet who I can rely on to service it. Plaza Motors is in the Jaguar business now, so they may have qualified service tech's but I imagine they are very expensive.

I think for a lot of stuff, I can rely on local shops (Dobbs, maybe Giannini's on Woodbine will do my air suspension replacement when the time comes) but curious if there are local specialists around.

 

Check LeStable in Glen Carbon Illinois. They have many years of Jaguar experience. They are located just off I-270 near SIUE.

I've taken mine to Plaza and they definitely are expensive. You may want to try Westport AutoHaus or Lindberg Motorsport on Lindberg.

I found the best mechanic in the world - but I live near Kansas City, Mo it is J&S Import Services - manager is Jessie and he is excellent. He worked for Jaguar dealer, but has been in business for 30 years at this location. I can call him and tell him my problems and he can diagnose over the phone. I think it would be worth the drive to get to him - He does not have dealer pricing - 816-842-2447. Friendly - Caution - it is not a pretty place - But - they do darn good work - and I can do pretty somewhere else.
